Beattie McDowell Architects

Brief: When Roger Beattie took over McDowell Architects, he wanted to reinvent their identity, not just to put his name in the logo, but to better reflect the talented “design” principals offered by the firm.

Solution: Simplicity was the key. The logo had to demonstrate the firms modern practical approach. The design of the logo took visual references from architectural draught plans. The whole identity was built on a grid system that could expand across any format. This simple grid system provided the framework to build the logo, letterheads and document covers.
